Please treat our home with the same respect that you do your own..

This is a non-smoking home – If you do smoke please can you do so outside away from the house and that you properly extinguish and dispose of the cigarette in the outside bin. 

  • No parties (no loud music after 10pm)
  • No pets unless agreed prior
  • Respect the neighbours
  • Report damages

HighGrove Lodge is an exclusive property presented at the highest standard for our guests. Accordingly, guests are asked to please abide by the following house rules:

All facilities on HighGrove Lodge are available only to the guests who are booked and paid for. Guests should NOT exceed the number stated on the confirmation notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email.

Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Holding Parties, BBQ’s or any type of Function whereby extra people are invited onto the property is not allowed and by doing so may cancel your booking and forfeit your security deposit. If you are intending on inviting day guests, you must receive prior agreement in writing. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate is not including any extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional payments.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental. No music should be played outside of the house and any noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. In circumstances where we get complaints from neighbours, the police will be called.

The pool is for use of house guests only. Please ensure that children are supervised at all time when inside the enclosed pool area. This property is on tank water so we would appreciate no jumping in the pool to conserve the water supply.

Pool Area Rules

Use of the pool area is for paying guests only.

ALL children must be directly supervised by an adult, while in the pool area. There is no substitute for adequate supervision.

Ensure that all safety barriers, such as gates and doors are closed immediately after entering or exiting the area, and that doors, gates are never propped open.

Children should use the toilet before entering the pool.

No glass near the pool area.  Please use the plastic glasses provided.

Do not use soap, detergent or any other substance in the pool.

Do not climb up or onto, any fence or partition of walls within the pool area.

People wearing contact lenses should remove them before entering the pool.

Do not use the pool while under the influence of alcohol or any other drugs.

Management takes no responsibility for any accidents or injuries sustained while using the pool.

General warnings

  • No diving – shallow water
  • No running – slippery area
  • No glass – cause injury and damage
  • No alcohol or smoking

Fire pit rules

Use of the fire pit is for paying guests only and only available during winter as per R.F.S rules.

ALL children must be directly supervised by an adult, while near the fire pit.

Please ensure there is a bucket of water nearby in case of emergencies.  Bucket is in the laundry.

Please ensure the fire is kept under control at all times and any logs/sticks added are not larger than

the length of the firepit itself.

Please ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the fire pit area.

PLEASE PUT ALL DEAD EMBERS INTO THE RUBBISH BIN AT THE END OF YOUR STAY.

Our cleaners do not empty out the firepit.

General warnings

  • No not use fire pit while inebriated or under the influence of drugs.
  • The booking party is responsible for the safety of all guests.
  • Children must not be allowed to set/light or extinguish the fire.
  • No flammable liquid or material other than wood is to be added to the fire at any time.

BBQ

We supply clean BBQ facilities. If you use the BBQ please ensure that it is cleaned and that the gas has been turned off before you leave. If we need to clean the BBQ then a $50 charge will be deducted from the security bond for cleaning.
